Adam Quinn is Senior Lecturer in International Politics at the Department of Political Science and International Studies (POLSIS), University of Birmingham, UK. Previously he studied at the London School of Economics (PhD) and the University of Glasgow (MA Philosophy and Politics). He is originally from Dublin, Ireland. The longest thing he has ever written is US Foreign Policy in Context: National Ideology from the Founders to the Bush Doctrine (Routledge, 2010). His main interest is the foreign policy and history of the United States, a country he finds both fascinating and exasperating, but rarely dull.
